"Here? In a parking lot?"
"Yes. Why not? We've got lots of food left. And there's running
water. I've got a little bit of money left to do some shopping.
We'll save on gas. I think we should definitely stay here. It's
that simple."
But it wasn't that simple. They attracted a lot of attention.
Cars pulled up around them. People stared. Some of them even took
photos, and when those people drove on, new cars arrived.
"What are they looking at?" asked Ross.
"They think we're weird," said Odette. "We're
eating breakfast outside and we've strung up a washing line."
"Just ignore them," said Ross. "We're staying. They'll have to get
used to it. Have another cracker."
