Dolly-Jean is Nicer
Yannika has a new doll.
"Look," says Yannika. Yip looks at the new doll. "She's pretty," says
Yip. "Can she say mama?"
"Yes," says Yannika. "Listen. She says mama when you squeeze her. And
she closes her eyes too. When you lay her down. And she's got real hair.
Feel it, Yip."
"She hasn't got any clothes on," says Yip.
"I know. But I'm going to make some for her," says Yannika. "And my auntie
says she's unbreakable."
"Even if you drop her?" asks Yip.
"Even if you drop her," says Yannika. And she throws the doll down onto
the floor.
"Even if I pull on her?" asks Yip.
"Even if you pull on her," says Yannika. "Let me try," says Yip. And
he grabs the doll by one arm.
"No, let go!" says Yannika. "You're not allowed to." But Yip pulls anyway.
He pulls on the doll's arm. And Yannika pulls on the other arm.
